Cassandra Dessureau-O’Hara is a Licensed Professional Counselor who earned her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Bridgeport and her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Sacred Heart University. Cassandra has a range of experience in outpatient settings, working with adults, adolescents, the LGBTQIA+ community, as well as couples and families. Cassandra views the therapeutic relationship as the most essential part of the healing process for clients. Cassandra creates an environment that is safe and welcoming by using a humanistic approach. Cassandra has experience working with anxiety, depression, personality disorders, perinatal and post-partum care, mood disorders, trauma, PTSD, and relationship issues. Cassandra encompasses a wide range of therapeutic modalities, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. Cassandra is a board certified by the National Board of Certified Counselors, is a member of the American Counseling Association and Connecticut Counseling Association.
