Childbirth Education and Lactation Consultant

Liz offers Childbirth Education and Breastfeeding Basics Classes to prepare expectant moms. She has been counseling women regarding breastfeeding for 19 years-first as an accredited La Leche League Leader, then as an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) for the last 17 years. She worked as an IBCLC at Breastfeeding Resources for 6 years, and has been a Maternal Child Health Educator/IBCLC at a local hospital for the last 14 years. She has a wealth of knowledge regarding breastfeeding from newborn through toddler-aged nurslings.

Liz has also been teaching Childbirth Education Classes for the last 14 years. Expectant couples enjoy her humble yet charismatic approach to teaching. Birth is a transformative experience on so many levels, and Liz tunes into and embraces each couple’s unique history and personal perspective when teaching in a group setting. Couples leave her classes feeling knowledgeable, empowered and even looking forward to the birth experience, by replacing fear of the unknown with curiosity!
