Caroline is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker committed to providing her clients with the insight, tools and self-awareness to live a healthy and meaningful life. Caroline is passionate about supporting women experiencing perinatal stress and mental health challenges. Caroline specializes in parenting challenges, infertility and pregnancy loss, grief/bereavement, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, relationship stressors, and life stressors/transitions. Caroline uses a holistic, strengths-based, and person-centered approach to empower and guide her clients towards hope and healing. Caroline utilizes multiple therapy modalities including narrative therapy, psychodynamic therapy, interpersonal psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, exposure and response prevention, and positive psychology.
Caroline believes that deep connection, openness, trust, humor and authenticity are the foundation of a strong therapeutic relationship. Caroline uses these tenants to create a warm, safe, and non-judgmental environment to allow her clients to effectively process their experiences, feelings and stressors. Caroline believes in tailoring her interventions to best fit the needs of the client and their personal treatment goals.
Caroline has previous experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Caroline received her Bachelors of Social Work degree from James Madison University and her Masters in Clinical Social Work degree from Virginia Commonwealth University.
