Marion Williams is a board certified counselor and expressive arts therapist with 25 years of experience working with people in a variety of settings. She has training in pastoral and mental health counseling and mindfulness to reduce anxiety, manage stress and develop coping skills. She enjoys helping people utilize their own inner resources to heal.
In my work in addictions treatment, hospitals, group practices, and psychiatric settings, I have found a common denominator in people is that connection, meaning, and hope are positive motivators for a healthy life.
Each client is unique. I specialize in helping people learn to manage stress, reduce anxiety, set and reach goals, and access their strengths. Sessions are structured, and include talk therapy with occasional homework and, when helpful, breathwork, meditation, and psycho-education. Progress involves a reduction in symptoms and the successful meeting of goals in the client’s life.
To keep myself current, I engage in ongoing clinical supervision and training.
Throughout my life I have found that creativity, meaning, and hope appear as signposts of wellbeing . My compassion for the human condition underpins my clinical perspective.”
