For as long as I can remember I have felt a powerful responsibility, passion, and ability, for supporting the health and well being of women. My journey began as a Women’s Health Registered Nurse. After 7 years of nursing work, I felt pulled by the universe to pursue my soul’s true passion: supporting women during pregnancy, birth, and motherhood as a doula and yoga teacher. I completed a 200 Hour Yoga Teacher training through Kindness Yoga in Bali, Indonesia in 2017, and an 85 Hour Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training through The Mama’hood in Denver, Colorado in 2018. I am a Certified Birth Doula through Doulas of North America and International (DONA).
My own journey of pregnancy, birth, and motherhood has further strengthened my passion for doula work and teaching. My prenatal yoga classes focus on preparing the mind and body for birth/motherhood through intentional movements, meditation, and Kundalini inspired “keep-ups.” I strive to help my students feel good and adapt to their changing bodies, alleviate common discomforts of pregnancy, help position baby optimally for birth, connect with their baby, safely strengthen and open the body, and tap into their wisdom, intuition, and strength. My Mommy and Me classes are tailored to help connect with baby outside of the womb, facilitate postpartum healing of mind and body, provide tools to navigate the challenges of motherhood, and create a community for mothers.
When I am not teaching or doula-ing I enjoy spending time outdoors with my 7 month old daughter, husband, and dog, traveling, and cooking plant based meals!
